Putzen Alpe

Starting from the St. Anton am Arlberg Tourism Association, you can walk or bike through the district “Nasserein” and continue on the road through the Schöngraben Valley. Here the path splits for hikers and cyclists. Straight ahead a wide woodland path leads up in steep serpentines. On the way, the “Munteck” viewing platform offers an impressive view of the surrounding mountains and the village St. Anton am Arlberg. Afterwards the path flatter and flatter to finally lead to the Putzen Alp. Hikers have the possibility to use another path upwards. In the valley “Schönbachtal” you can turn right and follow a beautiful woodland path. After a few serpentines, the narrow “Putzenwaldweg” path branches off and continues upwards to reach the Putzen Alp. Besides the culinary delights, the alp also offers wonderful views. Hikers can go further on to the “Walcherer Höhe” which leads to the Nessler Alp in Pettneu or the Leutkircher Hut. The way back is the same, but from St. Jakob you can also take the alternative “Jakobsweg” path to St. Anton am Arlberg.
