Nessler Alm

The paths to the Nessler Alm offer something for everyone: nature lovers, botanists, alpinists, culture vultures, and those who prefer their walks a little more sedate...

Starting from the Tourism Association in Pettneu, you can ascend via the Stöcklweg or the Hundskopf. The former runs mainly through the forest and along the stream, and is especially recommended on hot days, while the latter leads mainly across pastures and meadows. These two trails are particularly recommended for cyclists and e-bikers, and more leisurely hikers, as they travel the wide forest path and up past flowering mountain meadows.

Two other steeper walks, the Franz-Kurz-Weg, which passes the Hirschenbad, and the tour over the Kalvarienberg, also start from the Tourism Association in Pettneu.

All of these paths reward with wonderful views of the Stanzertal, Pettneu and the Hoher Riffler. Due to its many variations, the Nessler Alm is particularly suitable for a round tour. And after stopping at the Nessler Alm, a visit to the ‘Old Nessler Thaja’ is also well worthwhile.
